There’s a world of which I’ve become aware,
that exists in the lives of men.
The inhabitants of this little world
have chosen to dwell therein.

Those inside this silent world,
never realize the cost.
Until their world comes crashing in
and they’ve played the game and lost.

When silence cannot hide the deeds,
deception is the rule.
And once one’s played this game and lost,
he finds he’s played the fool.

Once salt has lost its savor
it cannot be restored.
Except through one’s repentance,
and the power of the Lord.

I ask of you my brethren,
what secrets do you hide?
You know the Spirit’s chastening you,
through misery inside.

The only way to escape this world,
and begin to rebuild trust,
Is forsaking all things hidden
and full confession is a must.

Restoration never can begin
till those crushing words are spoken.
So humble yourself and enter in
to the Fellowship of the Broken.
